Power Line - Christine O'Donnell's Career, RIP
Here we have classic case of somebody focusing on something that is trivial. Why is this story relevant? When I read that John Hinderaker's blogpost, he seems to think that because Christine O'Donnell "dabbled in witchcraft" in her youth somehow makes her unqualified to seek high office. What he doesn't say is why. Or I should say, he doesn't give a good reason-she may be laughed at because of this? Well, we conservatives might as well pack our bags and go home and never bother to enter politics again if someone potentially making fun of any one of is a deal-breaker. I must reacquaint myself with the new rules of politics; an adulterous President is OK, but a youthful indiscretion of little consequence completely disqualifies you from serving as Senator. Gotcha.
Let's stop focusing on trivial issues like this. No one has lived a perfect life, and all politicians will have something in their past they are not proud of, however, that does not mean they won't become productive leaders.

Murkowski: You will lose
You know, sometimes certain movies just have those one-liners that are perfectly appropriate to use in real world scenarios. Therefore, I will let Drago from Rocky IV do the talking for me in what can be considered an unofficial response to Murkowski's plan to run as a write-in candidate.
Murkowski Can't Win as Write-In
Murkowski Can Win as Write-In - NYTimes.com
Not really. The last Senate candidate to win as a write-in was Strom Thurmond, which was 56 years ago for the mathematically challenged. And to rely on a single poll (in a place where polls are notoriously inaccurate) for a prediction of the possible outcome of a three way Senate is ludicrous, given their recent track record.
Joe Miller will win again, even if he has to fight two fronts. To paraphrase the words of John Paul Jones, "We have not yet begun to fight!"

It really does sound like she is going to run. I guess Lisa Murkowski enjoys suffering defeats so much she is ready to give it another go around. But we'll be ready to stop her. She will lose.

Paul Goldman - Has Sarah Palin saved the GOP?
Paul Goldman - Has Sarah Palin saved the GOP?
An interesting read, if however incorrect in the fact that it states that Sarah Palin is a politician-she is not, as she holds no political office. Yet it reinforces the truth that a third party would only damage the GOP and not the Democrats, and that real advancement of the conservative cause will have to happen within the Republican party. Mark Levin recognized this and was ardent opponent of any such third party, and Sarah Palin also recognizes that fact.

Sarcasm is lost on some people
Seriously, just keep the title of my blogpost in mind, and read what this woman with no sense of humor wrote:
That's all I have to say. Some people really need to lighten up.
First: This blogpost is not about politics.
Second: Contrary to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s warning to the standing-room-only crowd at this afternoon’s Teen Challenge fundraiser in Missoula, the media did not “sneak in” to her speech. We were not there as “moles,” in her words.
Third: I only mention this because that sort of talk – “Be careful. There may be some media that sneaked into the room.” – is intended to create distrust of the professional journalists in this city and all across the country who take their jobs very seriously and work hard to accurately and fairly report the news.
That's all I have to say. Some people really need to lighten up.

Great win for Sarah Palin and Joe Miller
When I heard that Lisa Murkowski had conceded the election to Joe Miller, I was overwhelmed as I felt the nervousness surrounding the recount lift from my heart. This victory for Miller is not only a great step forward for the citizens of Alaska, but it also serves as vindication of Sarah Palin. She was said to be despised by Alaskans and would eventually be embarrassed by a crushing Murkowski victory over Joe Miller. Instead, the soon to be Senator Miller won, and crow was served all around.
However, soon the media story transformed from how this was a huge embarrassment for Governor Palin to how she had little influence on the race at all. Sadly, this behavior is all too typical from these cretins. Let us fellow conservatives savor this moment before we prepare for battle once again. Other RINOs await-let us greet them the same way we did Murkowski.
